Before hebecame Chairman of the, real name Sarekat dagang Islam was the digantinya by Tjokroaminoto because when there is a word in the Trade Organization feared meant only a handful of trade groups that participate in these organizations. Therefore, he replaced it with the name Sarekat Islam (SI) and in sepakatilah the trust for Tjokroaminoto became its leader, and also on the cover with the Base Budget making.

Tjokroaminoto was once also served as Regent of Ponorogo. She is referred to as the father of teachers from a variety of great leadership in Indonesia, his childhood home for their learning i.e. kos Semaoen, Alimin, Sukarno, Kartosuwiryo and also Tan Malaka.
